Solar crosses 300 MW

The status: per the CEA's official quarterly reporting as on September 2025, about 300 MW stands commissioned at the Dholera ultra-mega solar park within the sanctioned 1,000 MW Phase-1 under Gujarat Power Corporation, with the 700 MW balance under development, awarded to developers including Tata Power, ReNew, SJVN, Vena and TEQ Green, targeted March 2027 after documented tariff-dispute delays. Tata Power's own 300 MW plant (873,012 modules across ~1,320 acres, single-axis trackers) anchors the commissioned figure. The 5,000 MW headline remains the long-range target it always was.

The solar park never trends, which is precisely its value in this log: it is the anchor that reports in megawatt-hours rather than press conferences.

Why this quiet entry earns its place

Three reasons. It is Dholera's only anchor already in commercial operation: revenue-generating infrastructure, not construction promise. It is the green-power spine of the corridor's industrial recruitment pitch: the fab's sustainability math and the data centre's siting logic both lean on it. And it is the log's best teaching instrument: sanctioned versus commissioned versus target, all three numbers public (1,000 versus ~300 versus 5,000), with delays documented and dated: exactly how every Dholera figure should be read, demonstrated on the easiest example.

Live, sanctioned, target

The discipline notes

Broker copy routinely inflates the park (1,200 MW live is a circulating favourite); the official figure is ~300 MW commissioned, and the gap between marketing and CEA reporting is a useful seller-honesty test you can run in one question. Reconciliation caveat, kept visible: whether Tata Power's 300 MW plant and the CEA's ~300 MW commissioned figure are the identical set is not cleanly stated in sources, so we flag rather than merge them. Next verifiable milestone: the 700 MW balance toward its March 2027 target, which this log will check against official reporting, not launch events.
