The event: in April 2026 the Centre notified a Special Economic Zone of 66.16 hectares around Tata Electronics' semiconductor fab at Dholera, reported via Moneycontrol and business press with about 21,000 jobs cited. Label: reported at notification stage. An SEZ notification is machinery, not ribbon: it changes duty treatment, approvals and the economics of everything built inside the fence.

What an SEZ actually does
